Bergen County, New Jersey is the most populated county in the state, and it's no surprise that it has plenty of cultural attractions to explore. The Leonia Players Guild headquarters is another interesting attraction in Bergen County. This building was built around 1859 and is the last existing structure in Bergen County with direct links to the Civil War. The Bergen County Courthouse, designed by James Riely Gordon (1863-193), is also located in the historic heart of the county.
The Anna Maria Ciccone Theater on the campus of the Bergen County Community College has presented some of the most culturally relevant productions in Northern New Jersey. The theater also hosts live shows in its amphitheater and a carousel for visitors to enjoy. Saddle River County Park is another great option for those looking to explore a natural area on foot or by bike. This park consists of five different sections and features a picnic pavilion, athletic fields, and a large playground for children.
The Wortendyke Heritage Reserve is another great place to visit in Bergen County. Founded in 1973 by citizens committed to land conservation and environmental education, this reserve features traditional gardens with more than 50 varieties of medicinal and culinary herbs. Bergen County has something for everyone, from its amazing parks to its cultural attractions.
