Exploring the Art Scene in Bergen County: A Guide to the Visual Arts

Bergen County is a hub of creativity and artistry, boasting a vibrant art scene with plenty of opportunities to explore the visual arts. From the Shops at Riverside Square Shopping Center to the Sandy Bennett Art Gallery, there are numerous galleries and art centers that encourage an appreciation of beauty, creativity and originality. Bergen Community College is also a great place to find art exhibitions and performances, with students showcasing their works in student exhibitions and Retailing students displaying their works outside the Gallery. The three-day event allows artists and performers to show their talent working with painting, photography, sculpture, carpentry, weaving, dance, music and theater.

Gallery Bergen supports the visual arts exhibition and presents a different visual artist every month, many of them from Bergen County. Other great places to explore the art scene in Bergen County include Bergen County Libraries, Bergen Community College, Bergen County Technical Schools, Bergen County Prosecutor, Bergen County Golf Courses, Bergen County Parks and Bergen County Election Officials. Bergen Community College has locations in Paramus (main campus), Hackensack (Ciarco Learning Center) and Lyndhurst (Bergen Community College at the Meadowlands) and serves more than 32,000 students in undergraduate, continuing education and adult education programs.
